On Saturday, 19 July 2025, the Muslim Women’s Welfare of Australia hosted yet another delightful and enriching session under the Sisters’ Space Tradition Revival Series. This inspiring workshop centred on traditional Italian pasta making, where participants engaged in a hands-on experience of crafting pasta from scratch, embracing the warmth and connection of shared culinary heritage.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Nonna Santina and her daughter Lubaba for generously sharing their cherished family method of making spizzichi, adding a beautifully personal and intergenerational dimension to the day.
The second half of the session featured an engaging and insightful talk by Hajjah Faten El Dana OAM on prophetic foods, shedding light on the dietary practices of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and offering meaningful reflections grounded in faith, balance, and holistic well-being.
The event seamlessly wove together cultural heritage, culinary education, and religious knowledge — a true testament to the depth and purpose of the Sisters’ Space vision.
Stay tuned for updates on our next workshop — we look forward to welcoming you again, Insha’Allah!
