On May 4, 2024, the Muslim Women's Welfare Association (MWWA) proudly hosted its third Women's Skills Workshop, an event made possible through the generous support of the NSW government. This workshop marked a significant milestone in MWWA’s mission to empower migrant and CALD women, focusing on workplace well-being and floristry.

The event featured an insightful session led by Sandy Aweek, an experienced Human Resources manager, who shared valuable strategies for fostering a healthy and thriving work environment. Attendees left equipped with practical tools to support their professional well-being, laying the foundation for long-term career success. With October recognized globally as the month of well-being, MWWA President Faten El-Dana OAM delivered an inspiring address, emphasizing the critical importance of well-being for women navigating today’s fast-paced world.

The workshop also introduced participants to the art of floristry, providing a hands-on opportunity to explore creative expression through flowers. Led by Luna and Daisy founder, an accomplished florist, the session unveiled the secrets of crafting stunning floral arrangements. Attendees learned the delicate craft of selecting, arranging, and presenting blooms, gaining both practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of floristry. This enriching experience not only expanded their skillset but also sparked a newfound passion for this artistic endeavor.

MWWA extends its gratitude to all participants and supporters for making this workshop a resounding success. Stay tuned for future workshops designed to empower, educate, and inspire women in their personal and professional journeys!
