MWWA Meets with Margaret Beazley, Governor of NSW

The Muslim Women’s of Welfare of Australia President and staff hosted a special guest in their Liverpool offices on Thursday 19 September, Her Excellency the Hon. Margaret Beazley, Governor of NSW.

The Governor took particular interest in the women’s background, discussing the different reasons for their families to make Australia home, their education, career paths and their contribution to the Australian community today.

Ms Beazley commended the ladies for their perseverance in becoming professionals in their own right adding that we are very fortunate in Australia to have access to education and career opportunities.

The discussions were followed by a video projection highlighting some of the many successful community projects planned and implemented by the MWWA team in the last few years.

After enjoying a traditional Lebanese light lunch, the MWWA president, Mrs El Dana OAM presented her excellency with a token of appreciation on behalf of the MWWA team and thanked her for taking time from her busy schedules to visit the MWWA offices yesterday.
