The Muslim Women's Welfare Association (MWWA) successfully concluded its empowering series of women's skills workshops in collaboration with the NSW Government. The fourth and final workshop focused on a crucial aspect of professional development—interview skills. The session led by Lubaba Dabboussi, a school coordinator with over 15 years of experience, provided attendees with invaluable insights and practical strategies to excel in interviews. A highlight of the workshop was the opportunity for attendees to engage in mock interviews, enhancing their confidence and honing their skills.
MWWA President Faten El-Dana OAM fittingly addressed attendees with a speech emphasizing the paramount importance of well-being for women in today's fast-paced world and how to be better prepared to face the challenges of starting a new business.
Adding a green touch to the event, MWWA's Project Manager, Nora Awad, from Her Kitchen Garden, led a hands-on gardening session. Attendees learned how to cultivate their own salad bowls using everyday herbs and received practical tips and tricks for maintaining a flourishing garden. The interactive nature of the workshop fostered a sense of community, with women exchanging ideas and experiences.
A light lunch was served, providing a casual setting for further networking and the exchange of insights. As MWWA looks ahead to 2024, the organization is excited about hosting more events that continue to empower and uplift women from diverse backgrounds.
